Company innovates by decorating lid using the In-Mold Labeling technology

Saint-Damien, Québec, May 19, 2009 –

IPL Inc. (TSX : IPI.A), one of North America's leading manufacturers of plastic products, has been awarded a contract by the City of Boston, Massachusetts totaling approximately US$4 million to manufacture wheeled carts for the collection of waste materials. Production will take place at the Saint-Damien facility.

Under the terms of the agreement, IPL will supply 90,000 wheeled carts with a capacity of 240 litres to be used in the collection of recyclable materials. The City of Boston selected IPL’s Mastercart and the Company innovates by decorating the lid using the In-Mold Labeling graphics technology. Deliveries will begin in June 2009 and are expected to be completed within a 12-month period.
